Congrats to George Lucas and all the writers and actors of the movie “Red Tails” based on the Tuskegee Airmen. George lucas financed the movie with his own $60 million dollars after trying to bring the story to the big screen for 23 years. Hollywood was not supportive of a movie with an all black cast that could lead the box office, but this weekend proved otherwise. Now that the movie was a success a prequel and sequel are already in the works.

According to Lucas, he is retiring and would like Spike Lee & Lee Daniels to work on the following sequel and prequel. I am very proud that audiences went out and supported the film, I am also hoping that more is given about the background to the story in the prequel and sequel.

Lil’ Miss Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7th and already Papa Carter has dropped a song called “Glory” about his bundle of joy and you can hear her crying in the background at the end..how sweet.  In the track he even states that Beyonce’ miscarried in the past & that she was made in Paris . Ok so anyone who has been following BBW: Miami knows that Evelyn Lozada has been dating NFL Player Chad Ochocinco and is supposedly engaged. Now while I don’t know if their love is true or made for tv but some new drama has popped up. Evelyn supposedly feels that chad is messing around (how surprising) and so now she isn’t sure if a wedding is in the future. Now i will say Chad has a couple baby mama’s and never married any of them, and Evelyn seems more focused on security than love.

According to TMZ,

Chad Ochocinco’s famous fiancee has slammed the brakes on the couple’s wedding plans, TMZ has learned … all because she suspects the NFL star has been messing around behind her back.

Sources tell us … “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada recently confronted Ocho after she became suspicious about his behavior … and she isn’t convinced he’s been faithful.

The two are set to be married in the summer — and while Evelyn hasn’t “officially” cancelled the wedding yet, we’re thinkin’ the priest should start making other plans.

Plus, Chad and Evelyn were supposed to begin shooting their new reality show in just three weeks … we’re told that plan is also up in the air.

Happy New Year everyone..with a new year comes new opportunities and blessings. Lebron James finally took the plunge and got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson. Last Night at a New year’s eve dinner and party at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, James got on one knee and proposed as the new year rang in. The party hosted by Heat player Dwyane Wade was also to celebrate Lebron’s recent 27th birthday. The couple have been together for over 10 years and have two sons, Lebron Jr. (7) & Bryce (4). Now it’s time for a championship ring!!

Former NFL Player Chris Draft recently lost his new bride Keasha (Rutledge) Draft to cancer on Dec. 27th, just one month after their November 27th wedding in Atlanta. Draft stopped playing in the NFL in 2010, but continues to do things in his community through his Chris Draft Family Foundation. After watching this video it truly reminded me how much we need to treasure our loved ones because at any moment we could lose them. The videographer released two video’s in remembrance of Keasha, a video montage of photo’s and actual video of their wedding day.

As you watch this video you can truly see the Unconditional love they shared. I pray for both families during this difficult time. This truly shows what “for better..or worse” means.

The Queen B recently released a new promo pic for the upcoming new year. She shot the photo with photographer Mike Antonio to bring promotion to her upcoming album. She recently got a new contract and seemd to be trying to rebuild her career. What do you think of the photo? I think she looks pretty good considering all the surgery..

Rihanna released the video for her 2nd Single off  her album “Talk That Talk” today. The single “You Da One” is one of my fav songs off her album next to Farewell & Birthday Cake. The video itself isnt anything spectacular, Rih Rih sings along as the words are spread across the screen and she rocks various blonde wigs with her usual sexy outfits. Aside from giving sex appeal I enjoyed her video for “We Found Love” more. I think this video could of used a handsome male co-star or storyline..Check it out:

This is beyond sad and surreal..Two Brothers, Deangelo (23) & Wayne (20) Mitchell were arrested back on November 30th in Charleston, South Carolina. According to reports,  the brothers were stopped during a routine traffic stop and police found three small bags of cocaine under the backseat of their 2001 Chrysler. Now what makes matters worse is while waiting to be transported to jail in the police squad car the brothers were being recorded as they discussed getting rid of one ounce of cocaine in Deangelo’s buttock. The video surveillance shows Deangelo continue to plead to his little brother to help him because he can’t get anymore strikes.

After a while Wayne agrees and you clearly see the men exchanging the cocaine and Wayne eating it before the cops return. Deangelo who seems guilty about his request appears distraught (maybe because he knows what might happen). Shortly before the clip ends we hear Wayne tell his older brother “I love you bro“. Police say Wayne went into convulsions and began bleeding from his mouth shortly after ingesting the cocaine and died an hour later.

Not only does DeAngelo face criminal charges for possession but he now faces an involuntary manslaughter charge for the death of his younger brother..that ish cray..I feel sorry for the family and DeAngelo having to remember he was the cause of his brother’s untimely demise..

Drake, Lil Wayne & Tyga dropped the video for the hit single “The Motto“. The video starts with drake cruising around the city and then flips to Lil Wayne in his leggings and green Moon Shoes..:-/. I for one fell in love with this record the second I heard it but the video is blah. The usual rap video with cars, club scenes and the crew lol..Check it out
